XCOR Space Expeditions offers flights int the Lynx Mark I, reaching the edge of space, an altitude of 60 kilometers. The Lynx Mark II reaches the internationally recogniszed boundary of space, more than 100 kilometers above Earth. The flight path for both types of spacecrafts are similar and equially exciting.


Unlike all other previously developed spacecraft, including the Space Shuttle, XCOR Lynx is equipped with an independent takeoff and landing system. The ship’s four revolutionary rocket engines can be shut down and restarted in-flight at any time. There are no disposable carrier rockets or landings at sea. Lynx simply departs from the runway at any spaceport, and glides back to a runway on return. You will find yourself sitting next to the pilot. The four engines start. Your space voyage has begun.

XCOR Space Expeditions

XCOR Aerospace is based in Mojave, California. It is currently creating a Research and Development Center in Midland, Texas, and will be establishing an operational and manufacturing site at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida with the assistance of Space Florida. XCOR® builds safer, more reliable and reusable rocket-powered vehicles, propulsion systems, advanced non-flammable composites and rocket piston pumps. XCOR works with aerospace prime contractors and government customers on major propulsion systems, while also building the XCOR® Lynx®. The Lynx family of vehicles serves three primary missions: research and scientific missions and private spaceflight in the Lynx Mark I and Lynx Mark II, and micro satellite launch on the Lynx Mark III.
